Each year the importance of information and network security grows for businesses, government institutions, professional and educational organizations, and individuals. At the same time the complexity and variety of security threats and solutions grows. In order to help professionals and organizations understand the world of network security, assess problems and threats, and share and develop solutions at all levels of information and network security, IIT's Center for Professional Development, the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Fox Valley,, and UniForum Chicago are please to host the 5th Annual Computer and Network Security Conference and Expo. The event will be held at IIT's Rice Campus in Wheaton, Illinois on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Netsecure06, held last April, was attended by more than 200 people with representatives from many organizations, such as: AccessData, Acxiom, Allstate Insurance, Argonne National Lab, Baxter, Bell Laboratories, Cisco, Computer Associates, Check Point Software, Chicago Police Department, CompTIA, Digital Intelligence, FBI, Fermi Lab, IBM, IEEE, KPMG, Lucent, Microsoft, Motorola, UniForum, several universities and many more organizations. The organizers are excited to welcome back participants and attendees from previous years as well as those who have never attended the conference.
Conference Overview
The conference will bring together knowledgeable security practitioners and responsible executives from organizations such as computer and network technology providers and manufacturers, digital forensic practitioners, scientific laboratories, law enforcement, healthcare, and legal organizations to discuss and share their security needs, problems, technologies, security systems, plans and much more. Subject matter experts will offer technical sessions, tutorials and vendor sessions. Businesses will have the opportunity to exhibit. The event is open to the public. Conference Format
This one-day conference is divided into multiple sessions. Some sessions will be panel discussions. Others will have one, two or three featured speakers. The conference has up to four parallel tracks so that you can pick one of four topics during each session.
