Prerequisites:
Knowledge of the Windows Operating System.
Entry and editing of data in Excel worksheets.
Working knowledge of Excel's formatting menus.
Knowledge of formula structure, editing and copying.
Know how to print worksheets and workbooks.
Who should attend: This course is a follow-on to the Excel 2003: Basics (SC 531) and Excel 2003: Intermediate (SC 567) courses that expanding on the advanced capabilities of Excel. The course is designed to promote usage of Excel beyond the basic spreadsheet functions and calculations.
Expected outcomes: Participants will be able
to apply the following operations to their workbooks.
Generate information based on the data entered in selected cell.
Query and filter data to display specific information.
Format reports using styles or auto formats.
Use pivot tables and pivot charts for interactive display of information.
Link to workbooks and/or worksheets for calculations.
Work with macros for repetitive tasks, their creation and editing.
Work with workbooks on the Web.
Consolidate information in large worksheets.
Work with text strings.
