SC 564 PowerPoint 2003: Basics

This basic short course covers many of the features of Microsoft PowerPoint that provide the user with the tools to create informative and appealing presentations. Some of the topics covered in this course are the following:
• Explore the features, menus and tools available in PowerPoint.
• Creating new presentations using the PowerPoint tools.
• Creating and formatting tables and charts in a PowerPoint document.
• Using the PowerPoint drawing tools to create and modify objects.
• Inserting graphics in a presentation.
• Creation of graphic text using WordArt.
• Basics of using Power Point templates.
• Adding speaker notes to your presentation.
• Adding slide transitions and timing for a slide show.
• Proofing and printing presentations.

Prerequisites:
• Basic knowledge of the Windows Operating System.
• Printing and saving of documents.

Who should attend: This course is valuable for anyone who needs to present information to an audience. PowerPoint gives the user a powerful tool for creating informative and attractive presentations for either a meeting or as an automated slide presentation.

Expected outcomes: Participants will be able to:
• Create presentations for use at meetings and sales presentations.
• Use the PowerPoint templates for your slide show.
• Add notes and comments to your slides to enhance the information on the slide.
