Customized Training from IIT’s Center for Professional Development

Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) can enhance your employee's skills with training that is designed for the needs of business and industry. We understand that working professionals are busy, so training is accelerated, hands-on, lab-based when applicable and designed to ensure your employees quickly master the subject matter. Credit in the form of either Continuing Education Units or university credit that can be applied toward a degree is granted for all courses.

Designed specifically for your organization
Customized training targets the needs of your organization and is taught specifically for your employees. Training is available at your request and is scheduled at your convenience. Sessions can be divided into 4, 6, or 8-hour classes that start before, during or after normal business hours.

Organizations often arrange 4-hour training sessions that enable employees to balance commitments to work while in training.

Customized training generally requires 8 or more students to be cost effective. Smaller groups can be accommodated with customized training, however it is usually more cost-effective to enroll in our existing daytime or evening classes. Group sizes ranging from 1-100 can be accommodated at your facility or one of IIT's campuses.

Short courses with CEU credits are typically one to four days long; CEU certificate courses in information technology range from 10-week introductory courses to 16-week full-time and 26-week part-time comprehensive courses, while degree credit courses in information technology, manufacturing technology and management are normally 8 to 16 weeks long. Many courses and training topics that may meet your needs are offered as part of our regular schedule on a part or full-time basis during day, evening or weekend sessions.
